Leaving Vancouver / Nous partons de Vancouver
Leaving our family, Vancouver and Western Canoeing and Kayaking and Clipper Canoes this morning. We made great memories. We are on the road at this time. We finally decided to rent a UHaul so we could skip the too strong current of the Fraser, Thompson & Columbia River and save Jen's knee. We are on our way to Lethbridge (AB). Cannot wait to start paddling again. This time, it's going to be downhill.

March 22 to April 14, 2017 - Port Hardy to Vancouver (BC)
After staying one more day in Port Hardy, due to the weather, we departed on Thursday, March 23 towards Port McNeill (but on the road this time). Several days of strong winds, up to gale force, were expected. Paddling would not have been possible and we wanted to move forward. We followed Highway 19 all day. We progressed very well despite the hills. The pavement was wide enough not to feel too dangerous when cars and trucks passed. Then, as I helped to hold the canoe to avoi
Help needed!
Dear friends and fans, we are seeking for your help. We are looking for a way to move east toward Alberta. We wanted to paddle on the Fraser, Thompson & Colombia rivers (and portage a lot along the way), but the water level and current at this time is stronger than it was suppose to be. There was no winter water this year. Also, Jen knees still a problem so a long portage on the road is now out of the options. If you know someone that is planning to ride from Vancouver (or ne
