The old and the new St. Louis on one image (Missouri). The Ashley Street Power House, built in 1902 by the Union Electric Company, became in 1971 a city landmark. Still in operation, the plant provides heat (by steam) to businesses and buildings located in the downtown area. In the background, a bridge drawn with the latest engineering specs and architectural trends. The Stan Musical Veterans Memorial Bridge was opened to traffic on February 9, 2014, seven months before capturing this shot when we stopped in St. Louis (on the Mississippi river).

Sur une même image, capture du vieux et du nouveau St. Louis (Missouri). L’Ashley Street Power House, construit en 1902 par l’Union Electric Company, est devenu en 1971 un emblème pour la ville. Toujours en opération, le plant fournit du chauffage (par vapeur) à des entreprises et bâtiments situés au centre-ville. En arrière-plan, un pont dessiné avec les dernières normes d’ingénieries et tendances architecturales. Le Stan Musial Veterans Memorial Bridge a été ouvert à la circulation le 9 février 2014, soit sept mois avant de prendre ce cliché lors de notre arrêt à St. Louis (sur le fleuve Mississippi).
